Check out…

Why? DueEast of Due East (writer) and D0m of Nadya (artist) have collaborated on the latest white knuckled, female angsted edition of Off Hours. Catch it while it's fresh and hot out the kitchen!

Also, the most dangerous PREQUEL series on DD -

It returns…TODAY! Go check out the comic you're NOT reading that will make you look at these characters and say…"OHHHHHHHHH."
Oh yes, thanks for plugging SYNCHRONICITY, on your comic's page Subcultured! You're quite a gentleman, sir. - UPDATE - DELAYED! Sorry…the next SYNCHRONICITY will be delayed until tonight's 10 PM posting. With good reason…my dad is in town!

Okay, now…see - THIS is why I got mixed reviews in the forums. Your boy BLNTmaker is messin' up:

1) This comic is a day late (Due to medical reasons). I have an eye condition called keratoconus - Wears on my eyes and I just couldn't get Friday's page finished. It's a rare and genetic disease which, as far as know, has effected two people - myself and Mandy Patinkin. I don't know anyone else with this disease.

2) The time frame from the beginning of the power lunch (Episode 2.23) until now is a bit off. WAAAAAAAAY off. I don't know how I over looked all of that. Oh wait, I know…I rushed the episode and missed that mundane detail. I want to assure you - Right now, the "real time" in this arc is indeed what you see on this page. Lunch time is almost over and we're minutes away from 24 hours.

My bad (Wait, do people say MY BAD anymore?????)

Sigh…comments:

KayleeVersus: Thanks again, Kaylee. THIS award seems to mean much more than all the others I've won in the past. The Valley is such a big place. Maybe we'll bump into each other though…Maybe on the 101. Glad you liked that thing with the American flag too - that was quite intentional.

Tantz: Thanks Tantz! Per the reviews, I've been taking care of how I write for these characters - Rayne is especially unique because she's…different. I want her to still be a kid with adult-like sensibilities. That includes, how she handles confrontation and problems. How'd I do here? Good resolve?

Fluttercanon: Fluttercanon - I'm making you PRESIDENT of the Rayne Fan Club! You seem to be a fan of her from the onset. *SPOILER* Rayne will take a back seat for a few pages while Teddy and the boys smoke out the bad guys (or girls). Look for her to appear again ten episodes from now with her BFF Vanessa when they're called to a "secret meeting" by an unlikely person.

Amanda: Amanda - I'm making you VICE PRESIDENT of the Rayne Fan Club! Thanks for the love and support of her character.

Molly Loves The KLF: Hey look who's back?! Take school one day at a time and you'll reap the rewards at the end. Hope you're satisfied by the episodes you missed while you were away. Oh hey, I have to tell you - I'm now hooked on BBC America (Wire In The Blood - Good show). What direction are you going with your career when you finish school?

JustNoPoint: The "SHAME ON YOU" speech was a nod to Hillary Clinton. It is also the way Rayne deals with people. She holds a mirror in their face and tells them the truth - even if it hurts. It's only fair since she's often called to the mat on her own character. Yet the theme of "better luck next time" also means even though she said, "Shame on you AND shame on me", she's also saying…"We can do better". And trust me, it does get better. Watch how this affects the votes…and voter turn out!

smkinoshita: Yes, better luck next time, Desmond. And trust me, Desmond's role in this arc is faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar from over.

SomaX: Glad you liked the new site design. It was time to make a change. I'd change the title card but…I have to wait until this chapter is finished. Last day of school? Are you being promoted to high school or will you be going back for another year or middle school?

TrevorAMueller: Master of suspense? I wish. I'm working on it though, man. As much as I'm in this "Mary Worth" state of storytelling, I do want the suspense to be worth the turn of a page. I'm glad its worth it to you and all who come on by to my comic. Thanks for the support, Trevor.

POLO: More POLO, man! You're almost an old school fan! Of course I appreciate you too, man.

Sean P: Thanks for the FIVE and AHAB! I dig that comic! What you're doing right now is on some old, David Copperfield/David Blaine stuff! Seriously…WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON??? Hey Trevor, SEAN is the master of… SUSPENSE

Black Daisy: Finals weren't THAT bad. Were they? Thanks for the five, sister girl!

T: Welcome back, man and thanks! I still say that Rayne is BOSS CHICK in another life.

Art Dude: Just like DAJB, your comments and presence here are a jar of cool beans on ice. Glad you're enjoying it.

=======================================================

NEXT…Rayne and the gang take a pause for a couple of episodes for two good reasons:

1) Its time we met…the suspects!

-and-

2) The Zeppo and Gummo Marx of Better Luck Next Time have star billing in the next two pages - Russell and Ethan. Per Teddy's orders, Russell and Ethan were told to "talk" to Chelsea Snow and her campaign team. Come back for JUSTICE LEAGUE in two weeks to watch them…"talk". It's going to be a treat!

See you then - Peace be with you :)…and to you POPS out there - Happy Father's Day!

J.
