JoeyS: You're right, technically. My point was that she simply could afford to leave the UN, nobody would object to it. She wouldn't have left for the concert if it had meant she wouldn't have been able to do a good job. On the other hand, it also shows she will put her job in perspective - for her it's nothing absolute, as important as it might seem.
