Out of all the dialogues in this issue, the one on this page was changed around the most. In my first draft it wasn't much more than Bombshell lecturing the poor old arms dealer about how bad guns really are. But when I got to actually drawing the scene I thought it'd be much more ironic if she would point out how guns aren't all bad… so that's what she does. Plus, it does make her more scary and less of a run-off-the-mill virtuous/morally A-okay superhero character.

Shadeblade_01: I'm glad you feel that way! She's probably closer to the "heroic" Catwoman (after Darwyn Cooke & Ed Brubaker reinvented her) than the jewelry thief Catwoman :D I just can't see how someone without superpowers, but great ambition, could NOT be at least a bit cynical… meaning less heroic and more like a self-serving, revenge-driven vigilante.
