I wanted this character to have a Northern European name (for reasons which will be revealed later on)… I guess "Astrid" isn't too original, but it was the name of the character Alison Lohman played in "White Oleander", and I would cast Alison to play this role (see the Bombshell movie poster in this forum thread :P).
So, I guess the question is how this page fits together with the previous one. I thought about having a close-up on Astrid's eyes as the first panel on this page, so as to get a smoother transition (but, well… as you can see, I only thought about it ^^;). Even if this isn't clear from the get-go (the "spaced-out for a second"-line being the only hint on this page), the previous page depicts her mental imagery. This wouldn't be a problem if you could read the whole story at once; but since we're dealing with a webcomic here, I thought I should point it out.
BREAKING NEWS: Bombshell #1 is now available at indyplanet! The regular edition sports a cover by myself, but there's also a variant edition with a spectacular cover by lustyJin! Both editions contain 36 full-color pages (22 story pages + pinups & bonus stuff - These days, major publishers will charge up to $3.99 for 22 pages, but their printing costs are lower AND they'll include ads! So, $4.99 isn't as much as it may sound like). Please click on the pics above to go the indyplanet site for previews & more info.
Also, please click on the topwebcomics-button above to see a new pinup! Here's a little preview:
