Issue 2 Pg. 09
Abt_Nihil onI do listen to what my readers say - in this case, I took a hint from what LegendComics wrote on the previous page :P
Bombshell might be the first character I've consciously created to embody some sort of ideal, and that includes enjoying great music! :P Of course she's far from perfect, but I can't say I generally like the notion of "being perfect"…
I've had this page lying around for maybe three weeks or so, waiting to be colored… I just dreaded having to achieve this "urban sunrise" effect. I had a very specific picture in my mind, and I knew I was never going to achieve it. So, this is my meager attempt ^_^
As always, you can see a new Bombshell pin-up by clicking on the topwebcomics button above.
And don't forget to vote for your favorite fan-service comic in the dd awards :3
Thanks for reading, commenting and hopefully voting! ^_^
REPLIES:
Nepath: I love Otis Redding!
plymayer: Oooh, a "nice"-triad. Thanks!
DAJB: Hey, you know how it is - you're all sweaty after climbing that building, then you want to relax on the roof, but there's this chilly NY wind in the morning… you'd catch a cold without a coat!
baby doll daily: I'd reccommend that spot if you ever happen to climb buildings in NY! Thanks :P
alschroeder: Thanks a lot! And that's just what I thought. I mean, what would you do, being a superhero? You've climbed that building anyway, so might just as well enjoy it while you're on top. It's definitely what I usually do - I am required to go places, so I try to enjoy it.
I am Candyman: Glad you do, thank you very much!
dkw99: I'm glad it's so well received. I love that sort of classic soul music, and "Sitting on the dock of the bay" is one of my all time favorites.
sux: Thank you very much! I ended up suggesting the mood rather than drawing a lot of buildings or details, and I'm glad it worked out.
fukujinzuke: Thanks! I must say, I was considering using some sort of transition for the flashback. But I ultimately thought that, since this isn't the first flashback in this issue, and the first one didn't have a proper transition either, AND there are going to be more flashbacks of this sort, it will all make sense even without transitions if you read it in one sitting. It's certainly true though, a transition would have improved the webcomic reading experience. Thanks for the suggestion!
AzuJOD: Thank you very much ^_^
Wes_Nero123: Haha! That's probably because I'm not a super-buxom woman with a cybernetic arm that fights crime either… :P
_T_: Thank you very much, so do I! I think until 2007, ALL of my comics' main characters were female :3
df_karnovski, man in black, Hero, Theskunktrainer: Thanks!
