Art contest! Win an original inked page from Curse of The Black Terror!
So here's the deal, we are having a contest to give away this original inked page of Curse of The Black Terror! The pencils and inks are by the tremndously talented Antonio Rodrigues. Antonio has done some work on our Grindhouse comics and will be returning to BSP for COTBT chapter 4.
So what do you have to do to win this piece of webcomic history? We want to see your best redesigns on public domain characters.
Details:
-Send in a piece of artwork focused on a redesigned version of a public domain character (Sherlock Holmes, Wicked witch of the west, The Fighting Yank, etc…)
-Redesigns must be original in nature. We will not except a piece of fan art depicting Alex Ross' rendition of a golden age hero or the sy-fy versions of Oz characters for instance.
-Artwork may be pencils, inks, fully colored, charcoals, acrylics. Whatever medium you like, really. If you want to submit a sculpture or a cosplay photo of your reimagined character, well that's just fine too.
Submissions will be graded on originality, aesthetic appeal, how well the integrity of the original character is kept in light of the redesign, and the craftsmanship of the artwork itself.
By submitting an entry into this contest you agree to allow your submission to be posted on brokensoulpress.com as well as the Curse of The Black Terror mirror on drunkduck.com
The winner must be willing to give us their name and mailing address so that we can send them their prize.
There is only one winner for this contest and only one prize. The winner will be chosen by Curtis Lawson.
The deadline for submissions is June 19th. The winner will be announced on June 26th.
