This is a much worse defeat than Megatron's defeat in that one Beast Wars episode when he infects Rhinox and Rhinox in turn farts at the Predacons, blowing them into a tree.

Yes, much worse than that. Much, much worse.

I think it was the trip through the intestines that made him realize that Erin was, in fact, a dragon.
