I had been planning on splitting them up at one point. Even though I wanted them to date (and now they have a kid together), I was never really committed to her marrying him. I don't know. I have nothing against David, but I haven't decided who I want Erin to end up with and figured I'd let her be single for now. Maybe she'll get another boyfriend soon, I don't know.
For those of you who were on board with the Erin/David "ship," it still may happen. I don't know yet.
