#964 Girl's Night Out: Dating Tips

Well, the baby name entries have slowed of late. The contest is still gonna run for a while, and so far I haven't heard too many names that really stand out for me. I thought I might give you some advice for any aspiring name-providers…

Okay, for one, I'd avoid any famous names. I've gotten several Dantes and Azriels already. Yes, I've played Devil May Cry and/or read some of Dante's Inferno. And I'm aware of the dual nature of Azriel.

Another is; keep it simple. Remember that this is the name of a baby, so try to keep the name either short and easy to say, or like Amaliel (Amy) in that it shortens easily into a nickname. Actually, I'll probably be more likely if you can think of something that shortens like that.

I haven't set any time limit on this yet, but rest assured the egg will hatch eventually. Of course, my mind set is still a bit based on my old 7 days a week schedule, where story arcs took a lot less time to get through. Hm… I guess it will be a while until I get around to the baby hatching…
