I forgot if I didn't update this for a while. I probably didn't, and most recently that was due to getting a nasty cold. For once, I had a valid excuse. ^_^ Still, sorry about the delay. I'm trying hard to get back on track.

Hey, this chapter has hit 30 pages…..and it still isn't over. And here I was hoping I could limit this thing to a reasonable size. Well, with any luck there'll only be 10 or so pages more. I like this chapter, but like any flashback/story within a story, it feels like taking step away from other, possibly more important things. Still, one has to lay the groundwork for those important things. It's one of those necessary evils, I guess. Or a mark of poor storytelling. :P Anyway, enjoy the silent "action" page.
