89-1: Films Past Their Expiration

Agh, I don't think I got that text as small as I wanted… but if you can't read it, they're talking about bad movies.

The idea for the conversation came about when I went with my sister and her fiancé, then boyfriend, and his family to the movies to see Sucker Punch. Nearly everyone agreed that it was the worst film I'd ever seen.

As a fan of Mystery Science Theater 3000, I disagreed. I'd seen far worse. Sucker Punch was at least entertaining at times, but there are some films that are not even that. Even with Joel/Mike and the Bots, some films are incredibly uncomfortable to watch.

Luckily Manos is more enjoyable with them, but… it's still pretty bad.

Apologies for yet another late update, but at least it's within the right day. I'm just getting a bit grumpy. I wanted to do a filler comic today, but I knew I needed to settle this whole Edy thing, so… that's what this week will do. I hope.

I was originally going to do the first three panels in strictly black and white, without even shading, but then I realized that Gary would either have ended up looking either blonde or black haired.

Now that I think of it, black would've been alright for the style, but… probably not for Tee, who's somewhere smack dab in the middle.

The point was to show how absolutely much Gary was drowning out the surrounding conversation (hence the small font, as well), but I don't know if it all came out as intended. What do you think?
