The further we get into the arc, the more I get to draw the differences between Dyona and Dyonus's bodies. I enjoy getting to see that.

The reason Dyonus is smaller is because of the design of his body. Obviously it's more Ambis-like, which means more compact legs. There are some other reasons, but the main point is that the newer model as redesigned to look more like Ambis.
