Back when Aeson and I were first starting this comic, I wanted to make his
sprite from a Zelda 2 Link sprite. He told me not to, however, because he hated
the graphics from Zelda 2. So in the end, I made something similar to the LttP
modification you see now.
 
As for his opinion on Zelda 2…that’s mostly just speculation on my part…I
think we talked about it once, and I don’t think he disliked it. I can’t see how
a Zelda fan as obsessed as he is/was could.
 
Then again, I can’t see how a Zelda fan as obsessed as he is/was could have
never played ANY of the portables as of last time I talked to him. (I think he’d
played Phantom Hourglass, though)
