Lego Space
Jenny (Part 2)

Jenny (Part 2)

Star Justice, released in 2008, was the first LEGO set in a long time that had the feel of Classic Space. It was a one-time thing, a Factory set designed by fans that was only available in LEGO Stores and on Shop @ Home. But I feel like it had a big impact in that it seems to have inspired Space Police III, which debuted the next year. The blue and white color scheme, the smooth designs, a law enforcement agency and the inclusion of villains all seem to have made their way into the more widely-released SP3.

Jenny's ship, the Peacemaker, is one of the few original creations that I use regularly in the comic. I'm very happy with the way it looks and it photographs beautifully. Because I first constructed it using LEGO Digital Designer, however, there ended up being a few weak points in the structure of the physical ship that I haven't gotten around to shoring up yet. It's not too bad, but needs a little work.

Trivia: Can you guess which Lego Space set the Peacemaker is based upon as a futuristic update?

Finally, my computer drama (No bootable devices!) ended (hopefully) today when I realized the hard drive was just a little loose and I pushed it back in. Things seem fine for now, but I need to get an external hard drive to back-up the comic (and my other data) ASAP.

- This is not an official LEGO comic. This is a tribute.
