I was super psyched to win "Best Use of Non-Traditional Medium" in the 2020 Drunk Duck Awards! I was up against some stiff competition, amazing comics by artists I greatly respect. I'm thankful to everyone who nominated "Lego Space." Andreas_Helixfinger drew a great presentation comic that showed Mikey Galanos playing poker with characters from other nominated comics. (I guess he won the hand!) And the critics said, "It provides the same sort of joy I get from the Lego tv shows and video games" and "Not only do the Lego characters with their simple expressions and movements somehow serve to fit the humor of the comic surprisingly well but the Legos themselves are used in a way just as one would hope." Which is honestly awesome validation for the life I attempt to instill in the toys pictured in these comics.
