Author notes
it's explanation time! there's a reason this isn't a flashback: because Andre wasn't born for any of this. This is all a story his mother told him, more or less- so there's no image in his memory to accompany it. In other words, it was a page full of chibis, or Andre's head for the entire thing. We're actually going to get into a REAL flashback soon…read 'soon' as 'the next page'.
