This is what passes as a "simple exercise" at the Magellan Academy! And I suppose that's true - it has very specific parameters, a limited number of objectives and they had time to plan their attack. Even so, things can still go badly wrong which is what Bill is worried about. Also, Epoch offers up a small bit of information about his time as a cadet which indicates he was just as reckless as daughter!
