Not only does it set the tone for the comic but it really sets to mood and the tone for the whole series. Being set in Seattle you see lots of rainy days like this and when I see these scenes it brings me back to where I spent the first 26 years on my life! It was hard to decide between this page and the 1st page because I love them both, but this scene brings the reader up to speed a bit and when it is alone I can see it as our comic's "trailer" for book2!
