A little something about uniforms. The Riker I have here is wearing a uniform never seen in TNG…it's very much like the common Season 3+ uniform, but with a few alterations (I won't go into details.) It was meant to be used in Star Trek Generations, but they decided not to and Playmates either didn't get the memo or didn't care. Generations ended up using a combination between TNG and DS9 costumes.

So why did I pick this one? Well, the only other options were beardless Riker from Season 1, which I didn't want or the Season 3 and on uniform. The problem with this was that it had battle damage on it. They have a Season 1 and 2 uniform, but I didn't see that one on eBay. (Riker got his trademark beard between Season 1 and 2.)

And I say Season 1 and 2 uniform, but there isn't that much difference. They went from a no collar jumpsuit to a high collar shirt. Case in point, Picard is wearing Season 1 and 2.

The other option was to get the uniform from the latter three TNG movies, but those are drastically different from the TNG uniforms and this at least fit in with the rest.

And what does this all mean? Absolutely nothing. Just shows how much of a nerd I am.
