246. Kirk Maneuver

I'm not sure if there's a real Kirk Maneuver or not, but I'm hoping this will catch on. Kirk had the right idea by getting fat between the TV series and the movie. Riker got fat over the course of Season 2 and Season 3 and stayed that way the rest of the series. (I say fat, but neither of them were all that bad.)

There is actually two version of the Picard Maneuver. One is in-universe and it was something he did as an ensign and the other is something the fans came up with when the uniforms changed from the jumpsuits to shirts and slacks. See, Picard does this thing where he adjusts his shirt when he stands up or in tight situations. (Speaking as someone who has worn one of those shirts, they do ride up, but Picard was notorious for being the one that adjusted his.)
