I've always thought the redesigned Cybermen look like Iron Man.
Well, if you don't follow Doctor Who, Cybermen are a group of cyborgs created by putting human parts into machinery. People are violently cut up and their bits placed into the armor and they're all controlled by a hive mind of sorts.
Think of them like the Borg from Star Trek. Actually, they predate the Borg, but the two have the same modus operandi.
