1326. Oversaturated

I hate explaining my jokes, but for those of you who don’t get it, conventions are oversaturated with Deadpool costumes. I love Deadpool (I think that would be obvious after 1300+ comics), but walking around an anime convention and seeing a bunch of people in cheapass Deadpool costumes sends me into a rage. (Most people come in these bodysuits that have screenprints on it.)

“Oh, you think you’re funny and shouting ‘chimichanga’ and being random? Yeah, I f***in’ hate you!” Most Deadpool copslayers I’ve run into aren’t that obnoxious, but I still hate seeing a great character being killed by oversaturation and reduced to stupid jokes. Deadpool has more depth than people give him credit for. I use a lot of one-dimension Deadpool for my comic, but my comic is a meant to be caricatures of the characters. That being said, I still have a lot of respect for the characters I use and if I don’t, I still try and portray them where the fans of the characters don’t hate me.

Or maybe I’m just jealous because I want to wear a Spider-Man or Deadpool costume to a convention and am just not in the right shape for it. Yeah, that might be it.
