How Snakes Got Their Names 2

And we continue with the Series "How Snakes Got Their Names." As mentioned in the last submission, this was a series of drawings I did when I realized how many funny names snakes have. There are several more to go, so stay tuned. I drew these small, so I decided to put 2 on a page rather than just one.

They were drawn small because they were originally for a newsletter, and I needed them to fit in a column.

I thought of an idea, too…perhaps I'll post this in the forums later, but I'll let you guys in on it now. Once I am finished with "How Snakes Got Their Names," I'm going to have a contest. Here's the deal:

DUN-DU-DU-DUNNNNN!…
Submit to me the name of a snake (find the weirdest/funniest name of an actual species of snake that you can find, obviously one that I didn't already do here). The best submission (one I like best) wins, and I will draw your snake and give you credit and a plug for your comic. In addition, your character(s) from your comic will make a cameo appearance in a future Slippy & Alice strip! Whaddya say! Start Googlin' those snakes…well, when I'm done posting mine…

In other news I got this other big idea to start another 'comic'. I noticed that I have all sorts of other cartoons and comic strips lying around that aren't The Ants or Slippy & Alice. I thought 'why not put them on DD?' So, I started "The Cartoon Grab-Bag: You Never Know What Yer Gonna Get!" here at DD, and it features miscellaneous Non-Ant, Non-Slippy & Alice works by me. It's going to be a lot of fun, because not only will current stuff be put up there, but some 'classics' as well. That's right folks–you'll get to see stuff I did as a kid…during high school…in college…but all cartoon or cartoon-related, of course!
