Carl Linnaeus may have been the Father of Taxonomy, but he didn't hesitate to express his rather–er–low opinion of reptiles and amphibians. This quote by him inspired the above cartoon:

"These foul and loathsome animals are abhorrent because of their cold body, pale colour, cartilaginous skeleton, filthy skin, fierce aspect, calculating eye, offensive smell, harsh voice, squalid habitation, and terrible venom….".

Slippy's not too happy about this…

IN other news, I can't decide on a winner for the contest. So I think I'll just choose one snake from everyone's list (unless you just picked one, then that'll be your snake for your custom cartoon)…and look for cameos in future S&A strips!

This means you: Corey, Crocty, Chameleon Kid, and Ersatz (the only ones who entered)…I figured since there were only 4 of you that I'd just call you all winners! (Not weiners, WINNERS. :o) Har har
