So, if you've read the author's notes, this is all old news. However, I can't exactly expect people to paw through my horribly tedious and increasingly whiny notes on every page just to get to the few nuggets of actual comic-related information I might use, so this had to be worked into the comic. However, I think it offers enough that's it's at least not boring. I explained the whole "name thing" back in the author's notes of Chapter 4 page 2. I wanted to have it explained in the ocmic from the start, but I wasn't sure where it'd come in, so I wanted to be sure it got explained as to why - to Jaith at least - that seemed somewhat important.
For Tai, she won't shorten Tren's name even with his approval because - as she says - it's a sign that you feel you know them well and are very familiar with them. Since she knows nothing about him, she doesn't feel right doing that.

Every once in a while, I say something worthwhile in these author notes, and not all of them may make the comic. However, I've been trying to put them first, so you can scan down, see if I'm saying anything, and if not just skip it.

I hate panel 2…

…and…wow! That author's notes I linked say I'm leaving for Otakon…and that's what THIS author's notes is going to say too! That's just weeeeiiiird! But if you're at Otakon this year, watch for Captain Kuro or Miranda Lott - it might just be me! XD
