So, they've been here a few days now. I decided to spare you most of our hero standing around meditating and skip to this. It's so dull it's even bored Agneris.

This is the second time the line "you're only human" has been used in one of my comics. In the other comic, it was intended to be encouraging and uplifting. Here, Agneris is using it as a sly insult. He can be kind of a jerk. XD

I noticed belatedly that it kind of looks like Tren is praying here, and it occured to me that I hadn't really addressed religion in this world much…mostly because it's just not relevant to the story, but given the time of year and that pose I'll just address it now. Humans in this world, like ours, have a variety of religions - though I envision this world as having a different history and setup than ours so while they may be similar, none would be the same as what we have. For the humans we've seen so far, it tends to be more casually observed, and doesn't have much bearing on day to day life for most people. The boetheri as we've seen believe in a variety of spirits, but in most ways it is just belief and not a full religion with ceremonies and gatherings and such. The elves are athiestic, which may seem odd since they're the ones with the magic, but they view magic as a science, not an art. They study it and map it, and treat it all very straightforwardly. It's just how physics rolls in this world. :D

Tren isn't praying here, though, just meditating. And just what it is that Agneris is trying to get him to see through this will become apparent in the next couple of pages.
