Restless Conscience

She feels bad about it at least, eh? If she were me, I wouldn't have left. Sad faces crying make me sad. Yet strangely, I never get emotional/cry at movies, in fact sometimes I actually LAUGH at dramatic scenes. I was watching a series on DVD and one of the characters needed emergency surgery, and when it was being all dramatic I was watching intently…then suddenly, blood squirts the surgeon right in the face, and I cracked up like a maniac! I am giggling even now thinking of it. BLRRK! It was especially bad when my sister had friends over to watch chic-flicks and I couldn't help but add my own MST3K (or known now as [url=http://www.rifftrax.com/Rifftrax)dialogue to the movie. Yeah, it was annoying, but I had nothing else to do! Besides, my sister is a really great person, but when her friends were around she liked to make fun of me so NYEH! I think it's justified that I get to make fun of her movies, right?! I probably embarrassed her a lot, so trying to make something of myself with my comics will probably give her something to be proud of me for. She did tell me that she's seen some of the people I went to highschool with that weren't very nice to/ignored me, and says they look like hell. HA HA HA!
Speaking of that, I decided when the Night School book finally comes out, I'm gonna donate a copy to the school I went to. They need to know how important the art programs are there and how great the art teachers were. I felt like my creativity was stifled and smothered in my college art classes, but my instructors in high school pretty much let me do what I wanted. Of course I still had to turn in a sketchbook for credit like everyone else, but I also made a huge dragon out of the carpet foam-rubber the teacher brought for me. I have no idea if it's still there, it hung a little low from the ceiling and knowing kids, it's probably long since been vandalized or otherwise ruined. I'm sure the 3 foot tall styrofoam ear I made for shop class is holding up better, though.
At any rate, I'm glad I didn't have to waste my time drawing fruit and bottles all year. Observation drawing does help you hone your art skills, but cartooning art is almost a completely different set of art skills. It comes from your imagination!
