Right now, I am really really really enjoying some great music. I only recently discovered (Ahem… or rather, Nick discovered) playlists on youtube, and oh man I just want to find the soundtrack somewhere for the game Odin Sphere so I can play it in the car too or something. Seriously, if I had to name my #1 favorite game for any console of all time, it would be this game.
Recently Nick and I went on an (unfortunately) pointless quest to find Princess Crown, a game by the same company that by all intents and purposes is the spiritual predecessor of Odin Sphere, and looks like it has very similar game play. Sadly, it was never released outside of Japan, which we discovered only after traveling all over Ohio in search of it. I think I let a bit of emotion slip when one of the clerks asked us if the game was "that one where you kidnap her and feed her until…" which is where I interjected "NOO!" Gained my composure, then politely explained the best I could that it was a Sega game released for PSP (again, unaware that it was not available in the states T_T) To fill you in, he was asking if we were looking for a fetish game and since there were quite a few people in the store, well… needless to say it was embarrassing. It was awkward enough asking for a game with a girly name like "Princess Crown", sounds like a Barbie adventure game. Though I don't doubt Vanillaware could make a great game of that, either…they haven't let me down yet!
