It was fun deciding on costumes for everyone. I wanted to dress up Tristan too, but he's not in a financial situation that would allow it. (Otherwise, he'd probably go for Robin Hood.) Kaida and Seiko took genderless outfits. Seiko doesn't see herself as feminine or feel comfortable being "pretty." Kaida is always trying to stay incognito (for obvious reasons) when away from her store. I wanted to emphasize that Celes is actually dressed up and *not* incognito for a change. (Living with Toyo has instilled in her some confidence.)

Anyway, here's the "real" (or present day) Ren Fair chapter. I hope you enjoy it. It went through so many rewrites, but everything finally fell into place.

Tantz: That's true, although a bit more suspicious (since the fireworks are a regular event).

Peipei: It's not pleasant. I grew up in WV. The roads here make most people sick at one point or another. My friend Gael has to take medicine before any car trip.

trevor: Mike (that's our guy friend) is always a gentleman and like one of the girls. (My timidness is really severe.) In any case, I might try this year if finances permit.

amanda: There hasn't been call to use it yet, but a caged backseat can be a handy feature. XD

JustNoPoint & LanceDanger: Mountain roads get to me, but nothing else. I love boats and rarely get car sick when outside the WV/VA area. (Come visit! Our roads test the strongest constitutions! XD )
