In an early draft of this script (long before I actually got to this chapter), I was going to have Tristan come to Kaida's aid, but I couldn't get him away from Seiko. Plot developments between original conception and the actual materialization of this chapter ended up creating their own solution (and a far better one, imo). The monk's shock of hair was an afterthought. It isn't in the original sketch, but I realized his hair is long enough to be partially visible.

Peipei: In her darker days, Kaida killed nearly 20 people. It's one of these whom her attacker is avenging. (Kaida never met this woman before.)

patrick: I was worried about that with the layout. Maybe I'll go back and put arrows in.

dueeast: True. I almost dressed her as a gypsy, but the armor seemed more suited to Kaida (on several levels).

Tantz: By most accounts, Kaida is an antogonist, so any pain she suffers is likely just.

JustNoPoint: Rescuing? Does he really seem like the type that would… Oh.
