I hope it isn't too subtle/cryptic, but Mike is answering Seiko's question from the last page. Keep in mind that as far as he was concerned, Fudo was the only family/friend he knew. In panel three, he is probably recalling a specific wrong he did to Kaida. She has already mostly forgiven him, but Mike is slower to forgive himself.

That's the last page of this chapter. Although it won't start for another week or two (hiatus time for my move…), there is a crazy long split story arc coming up next. ;-)

I'm making my big move in the next couple days. I'm hoping that me and my 25 rats can make the long car ride relatively comfortably. (They've never traveled for that long before.)

patrick: I'm glad you're enjoying the uncertainty of it all. It is hard to guess at anyone's motives, and most of them are unsure of each other (and what they do and don't know).
