Panel 5 is pretty special. It's one of the only times I've shown Raidon losing his cool. My original concept of him was a man who pretty much never stops smiling. No temper to speak of, just calm, calculated. But this is fairly unexpected – finding Kaida with that many friends around. And, unlike Seiko, Kaida isn't very quick to call anyone "friend."

n_y_japlander: Jiro is very judgemental of people. ;-)

Peipei: Good observation. Our knowledge of the flashbacks shows very little love or tenderness between them, but Kaida doesn't have those memories. She has to decide what to believe. As for Raidon, there's really know way to tell if he is outright lying to her or if he really believes there was "love."

dueeast: I was originally going to have him be able to sway Kaida, but she puts up a strong resistance. That's just how they play off of each other.

JustNoPoint: Raidon knows Kaida well enough not to say anything like that – if he wants to stay/get on her good side. (He does act that that when she's not around, though…) The chapter title is a coincidence, but I found it interesting too. ^_^

amanda: He really is trying too hard, but he's a man who's not used to being denied anything he wants.

patrick: Kaida's just being feisty with childish semi-insults. ;-) But yeah, Jiro is very open with his opinions about people. (Sadly, no one listens to him.)

ghostrunner: It's good to be goal-oriented.
