This one turned out okay. I ended up drawing Seiko in "lounging clothes." It seemed extra unsettling somehow for this meeting to occur with her in pigtails and generally unguarded. In any case, it doesn't slow her call-the-cops reflexes.

Banes: Thanks! Sometimes I have dramatic music playing in my head. The farther away people are the quieter it "sounds." An extreme close up is abrupt and "loud" to me, and progressively closer panels are a crescendo. Heh.

Peipei: There are two answers to that. One is that Kaida's badassery is something of a front to hide her fear. (Unfortunately, Valentine is one of the people who knows this.) She is frightened and not thinking straight. The other is that Valentine is a career predator. He wears a bullet-proof vest, so he likely takes other protective measures.
