News Link.

The M/S Explorer is now lying on its side close to the South Shetland Islands, in the Antarctic Ocean.

Gap Adventures, which owns the ship, said 91 passengers, nine guides and 54 crew members were safely evacuated to lifeboats and then to another ship.

After staying the night at a base on a Chilean island, they are expected to fly to Chile's mainland on Saturday.

Terminal is making a browser joke. :)

I'm sad the ship ran into trouble and sank… I really want to go to Antarctica someday, and one of those cruises is probably the only way I'd be able to. (I don't want to LIVE there… just visit.)

…How is this irony again?

"an outcome of events contrary to what was, or might have been, expected. "

If anything, based on the gag, this is the exact opposite of irony. Like, the Titanic's claims of being "unsinkable" turned out to be ironic. The concept of MS Explorer crashing, well… that's funny, sure, but far from ironic.
