Anyone else ever have an "I'm so busted" moment ?

Posted at

I was sitting at work today when my wife texted me that the cops were beating on our door. My wife has never broke a rule let alone the law, so I'm thinking they were after me. I'm not really a criminal, but I can't really say that all my activities are exactly legal. So I'm sitting at work nearly messing my pants wondering what the cops wanted with me. Cops are just so nit picky, everything is practically a crime. Finally my wife texts me back telling me that the bank that is less than 100 yards from our house was robbed and the cops were just canvasing the area. I had just wasted a good pair of underwear for nothing.

I'm more curious now what it is that you do which isn't so legal.

Obviously he's a serial rapist. Everyone knows that.

As for myself, The closest thing I can think of is when SkoolMunkee IP banned me. I thought it would be oh-so-clever to spam the Top Drawer with "Horton Hears a Who"(an excellent movie I would recommended to anyone of any age.) advertisements under an alt account. Administrators did not agree.

I got caught fighting in middle school. It was more of a shoving/cussing match that was gonna end up being a fight, but the teacher walked in while we were working up to the part where we'd actually hit each other. I was so angry that I didn't even realize the teacher was there until I noticed her shouting.

We were gonna get sent to the principal when I was like "You know what, just punish me for it. It's my own fault for rising to it. It takes two people to fight."

Apparently she'd never heard a student say anything of the sort before, so due to my high ideals neither of us was punished and no one was notified. If I were really good I probably wouldn't have hated that girl so much, but whatever, my apparent anger problem was overlooked and that's good enough for me.

Ugh, this topic brings to mind a lot of moments from a few years back when I was being a super cool rebellious teenager. They're all too embarassing to go into detail on, though. -_-

Sort of the reverse, I was visiting my mums and my nephew had been staying for a few days… anyway i was fixing her computer. well getting rid of trojan.

Anyway my nephew was hovering looking a bit anxious, he's 18 for the record. So I checked the browsing history and temporary files… Lots of porn. His face was priceless. I was nice and deleted the evidence so "Granny" was none the wiser.

As for me getting busted… so many but no good ones spring to mind.

I dunno if this counts, but it's the first thing that popped to mind because it was so recent.

In Environmental Law, the lecture had been getting really boring. I distracted myself by drawing squiggles in MSPaint (class was in a computer lab). This is what the end result was:

http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/931/zang.png

Because I thought it was so funny, I decided to make it the wallpaper of the computer where I was at. Well, the 60 year old immature b*tch sitting next to me must not have taken a liking to it, because she decided to create a public service announcement about its existance. "Why don't you show your artwork to the class," she said. No one paid attention to her, and I ignored her. Then, again, very loudly, repeats herself. That's when people looked and started laughing, and my professor stopped the lecture to look. I was then scolded in class.

That happened 2 weeks ago, but I am still so pissed about this. I mean we are seniors in college, sitting in a class that's taught similiar to the way law school classes are. What that hag did was middle school-level nonsense at best. "Teacher, teacher! He drew a PICTURE!!" Ugh, it's so pathetic when a guy 40 years younger than you is more mature than you are…

The best revenge here, in my experience, is to show the fool up. Visibly do far better than her at the class. It'll gall like a saddle-sore for her to see you, who likes to screw around when he can, leaving he in the dust.

Whenever I have a busted moment, I rationalise why it's not really my fault and the awful apprehension goes away. :)

i think this is a more "you almost get busted, start pissing yourself over what you know you did, and it turns out they aren't after you"

as in:

I was once traveling down the highway at very high speeds, I've already got 6 tickets under my belt, and 1 more i lose my license for up to a year.
so i've got cruise on and they i see the cop. i use the steering wheel controls to slow down, so brake lights don't show.

he pulls out and gets up right behind me and flips on his lights…i start using explicatives at this point…start to pull over, and he goes around and speeds off the next exit.

i wet myself a little.

Actually I'm a cereal rapist. What I do with my breakfast is my business.

Two recent ones both akward involving me and my dad.

About a week ago today my dad is sitting on the computer and tells me to go in my room and shut the door. From right there i knew something was up.So when he heads to the bathroom I quickly check his history and sure enough there was porn(we live in a one story apartment and the computer is next to the hallway so it's easy to spot)so I leave before he gets back to it and hide then about 5seconds later I walk out claiming I want water, and sure enough he was masturbating.

then yesterday I sit at the computer watching and old sailor moon episode and massively sneeze into my hand a sneeze so poweerful some of my mucus comes out, well wouldn't you know it right at that point my dad walks out and looks at my hand, and then the computer…now my dad thinks I masturbate to sailor moon.

That… That is awkward. Jeeze, either get your own computers or wait for the other person to leave. It's just common courtesy.

mmm… probably the biggest "Ohmygod, I'm in deep shit now" moment, was when I was suspended from school for a week for slanderin' a teacher I didn't like on the net once (I was young, FOOLISH I SAY, FOOLISH, WAS I. I did not know yet the ways of the intarweb…) Wasn't all bad though now that I look back at it, didn't go to school for a week, had mini holiday, and my Principal thought what I said was actually completely true, he just had to follow the rules… Learnt mah lesson though.

:S it was fairly traumatic at the time, now I just kind of look back at it and go: "OH, LOL, I REMEMBER THAT."
