BAM! COMICS ANTHOLOGY: UPDATE/CALL FOR MORE SUBMISSIONS!

Posted at

I would like to thank everyone who responded to my initial recruitment call after reading about it here. It was our goal to get at least 300 pages by August 7. Mission accomplished! Now we're pushing to make the anthology bigger and better. If you're interested in adding to our page count, scroll down for a list of the contributors, alink to sample artwork, and some info on how to join. (I apologize in advance for redundancy; I'm reposting the old information for the benefit of anyone who didn't read the first thread.)

(Ahem.)

You’re invited to participate in the biggest event this year in the small, small world of mini-comics! The response thus far has been overwhelming. We have received around 300 pages of content so far, and many other contributors assure us that their pages are coming! Jump on the bandwagon, we’d love to have you. Here is a list of the remarkable talents who have sent in work so far:

Adam Casey
Alex Whitington
Alfred Twu
Anthony Acri
Art Baxter
Barry Rodges
Barry Rowe
Casey Camp
Charlotte Anderson
Daniel Willingham
Dave Bradbury
David DeGrand
David Recine

Ian Harker
Indira
Ingeborg Hendrickson
Jeremy Woods
Joe Kletz
Jonathan Baylis
Les McClaine
Mark lone
Nathan Rice

We’re expecting many more, and we hope to add YOU to that list! That’s why we’ve extended the deadline for submitting sample pages to SEPTEMBER 1, 2006. Deadline for completed work is still September 15, 2006. Deadlines can be extended on a discretionary basis. Contact us if you have concerns.

Most likely I just accidently left your name off the list, but let me double check. What's you're e-mail again? I'll do a search for it in my gmail archives. (If you don't want to post the e-mail right in the forum, just recontact me at davidrecine@gmail.com )

Also, what's your real name again, so I can serach my hard drive for it. (Once agian, e-mail me these things if youdon't want to post 'em publicly, and I'm sorry your name was left off.)

Are original materials still being accepted after the deadline extention?

Yes, but try to send us something int he way of a sample by september first, even if its just a rough sketch, or a previous piece of work to give us an idea of what you can do.

Kennedy— still nothing in my inbox. Your e-mail doesn't even show up in a search of my mail archives. Checked the SPAM folder; nothing there either. I just e-mailed you— let me know if it gets through. I definitely want to print your work. If communication via e-mail continues to be impossible, call me at 715-225-7140 with any additional questions you have, and you can snail mail a hard copy submission to:

Downloaded sucessfully. At a glance, all the files seem okay (I'd look into it futher, buit I'm on my way out the door for work). I'll go over your site after work, see if I can pick some of those strips (I've been a reader of your site for a while, byt the way.)

It's werid that nothing's getting through. You might want to try my alternate e-mail, recinedc@uwec.edu .

I've been working on some stuff, but I will be going away on vacation and won't be back until the 2nd or 3rd of september. And I will have no access to a computer while away, so is it possible that i could send those samples around that time?

Sure. In the e-mail, remind me that you are phear from drunkduck and that I gave you an extenstion.
