I'm ecstatic to know that people are so excited with my debut to this world.

Maritalbliss. (I take it by your name that your married(correct my if I'm wrong). Just felt like mentioning that I myself am in that club) About the lack of ice phenomenon, since you asked, I feel like the best way to describe it is to say that summers and winters are very different over here, one being hot and the other cold and all. I think that the climate is similar to the new england climate although I've heard that New York has horrible winters. I'll even do better and show you the difference.

Ah yes. That's what's really sad. Notice how all of Iceland is covered in snow during winter time EXCEPT for the south-west part. That's why we don't get many white christmases in Reykjavik. T.T Having lived in Dalvik (waaaay up in the north) I really miss the snow. (not the cold though)
