See, myself, I don't comment on other people's comics much. And when I do, I never use the ratings system. Do you think this is a bad thing?

I never use the rating system. I may slip once or twice (i.e. Starving Artists) but that's just to breathe life into the poor thing (although I doubt it helps.) I like saying stuff more than just plopping down un numero.

I still have a negative number for my "muted comments." I think that's pretty funny.

Sub's got a lot of brilliant comics here at DD, you're missing out if you don't read them ^^

memo333- commenting on other people's work is a great way to get comments on your own, if that's what you want. -going by your other post I'd say you probably do ^_^

This is another thread that's turned into something else, and not going too well at that. This time I think it was primarily my fault though. Whoops. Sorry for that.

Anyway, to get back on track, my comments currently stand at 2,852… That's a lot of writing…

I'd kind of like to leave numbers that reflect how I really feel about pages, but since everybody leaves 5s all the time, I feel like I'd be breaking some kind of an unwritten ettiquette rule! I generally don't comment nearly as much as I should, but just saying 'omg this is kewl' goes against my personal code, but criticism makes people hate me. I'm actually pretty good at critiquing things, I've been well known for it in the past on other sites, but the thing is, well, it makes me feel like I'm the badguy somehow. I got tired of giving balanced, honest opinions and technical hints, useful links etc. and just getting defensive comments, or even flames in return. Maybe I should start critiquing again, I dunno.

Nah, critiqueing only leads to bad vibes. People don't listen to them, they just get mad. Unless they ask for an opinion, it's best not to bother. Plus people always critique the things I'm doing on purpose in my comics…and that gets really annoying.

Although actually barely anyone ever criticizes me. Out of the three I can remember who have, one became a major villain in the comic he/she criticized (mainly to prove posting as Anonymous doesn't prevent me from burning them).

I hate giving out ratings less than 5 >_> I feel so bad doing it, and it makes me look like I'm obnoxious or something. But that's just the way I feel about it.
If I think a comic deserves less than 5, then I won't rate. But I may comment on it only. I know how sensitive some people can be, and I hate making people angry – and yes, I know I can't please everyone, but I'm just too nice like that, I guess >.>

I have Knuckles philosophy as well. I'll almost always give out 5's because there's always at least something awesome in every page of every comic I comment on. Every page has its mistakes but there's always something really spectacular in there. Personally I hate someone criting what I've done because I'm not nor can I change it. It's in print. So that really does rub me wrong. It's a lack of understanding on the commenter's part and I hate ignorance.

Comments I've made so far are 16 but I just got here like… two weeks ago I think? ^_^

Sorry I didn't realise there was another thread. I just wanna know who does the most comments on DD.
I don't think just 5ing a comic is too bad. It's like your saying I exist and I am reading your comic. You know they are reading and not posting to just get you to look at their work if they come back on your updates and post again.

For the most part I do comment ,but I don't really have that great of things to say. I'm just a peanut gallery commenter.
