Can I do interviews solo and have you publish them somewhere, Skoolmunkee?

We've had a few people offer that in the past and Volte nixed it- they want the interviews coming from the admins for whatever reasons. I thought this little project would still work with that because A: it's a community thing which is good, and B: I'll be able to review the questions to make sure they're appropriate etc. But, apparently they're not as keen on the idea of others doing regular interviews.

That said, I think more interviews in general would be interesting to have on the site, and I think they would still fit in the networking/community forum somehow. so you're welcome to do interviews and make a thread for them here (anyone would be) and I can link to it in a newspost or sticky a central thread or whatnot… but I've already been told that only interviews coming from admins will be 'official' :[ I'm kinda hoping that things change in the future but Volte and folks have more important stuff on their plate right now.

Well, seems to me the simple solution would be for the Admins to release an official Interview Questions template. Then anyone can use it and as long as the replies are cut to the point they can be reviewed quickly by an Admin and posted.

I'm working on an Interview Questions model template for my own use and I will be happy to release it for general use. I will also be refering to some of the official Interviews for a better idea of what the Admins feel is appropriate, because I will obviously be crafting my own interview questions based on my own concerns and interests.

Man, a template sounds boring! I know some of the same questions can be used with everyone (tell us about your comic, who are your influences, etc) but the interesting stuff seems to come out when we get more comic-specific or issue-specific questions, don't you think?

I'm not saying 'only admins can ask good questions' of course, I hardly think mine are that great. With Platinum I just think it's an ownership/endorsement thing. I don't see much problem with approving others' interviews of DD people, but I'm trying to respect Platinum's desire to keep it 'in house' as much as possible.

I'm trying to think if there's an ongoing community project that could be made out of interviews somehow, but nothing I can think of is very realistic or sustainable. :[

You did great :) Basically I will just be looking for a few questions that are more specific to the comic or author, and not just questions that could apply to everyone. Don't worry guys, I'm not the Evil Interview Overlord or anything :)

Questions sent to you skoolmunkee!

Tried not to get too long. Actually had to go back and remove a few questions and comedic commentaries as I thought I was way overdoing it.

I kept picturing Conan O'Brien interviewing him XD

Hey I don't have a problem with that kind of stuff :)

Drat, I totally missed out on this opportunity…sounds like a fun time, though.

Perhaps next time I'll be able to pay more attention to the forums, and be less busy at work. :P

I didn't want to potentially take the focus off the person I was interviewing by being too playful and comedic though :p

Funnier than Leno, not as funny as Ferguson, but still pretty good.

Wait, if you're being O'Brien, then who's driving?
Gack!XD

I'm working on answering the questions even as we speak!
