I would like to start one of my older comics over again from the beginning. I've been hammering away at script rewrites for the last few months and would like to actually start drawing sometime late November. I don't think I'll have the time to color the pages, though, so I am looking for someone who can take my finished linework and color it in either photoshop or painter.

The comic will be posted on Drunk Duck starting early January. I don't have samples from that comic at the moment, although I am currently working on another project and I do have an early version of the first page (drawn a year ago). Expect this one to look similar, but with a more Westernized style and a bit more time put into each page.

If you're interested, feel free to PQ me.

isukun does great comics guys, so you colorists might want to really consider the opportunity. :) His comics have always been well-received.

Your shading is already done? That'll make the job exceptionally easy for a colorist (Layer 'Multiply' option FTW!). I'd be willing to help, but I have a good deal of stuff I'm working on elsewhere. Good luck finding a colorist, it shouldn't be too hard for you.

Actually, I'll just be doing the line work on the new one. The demo page I have up right now is an older version of page one. I wanted to start working on the older pages earlier, but I got caught up in the last chapter I was given by my writer and I never really got too far. I'd actually like the new verion to be shaded in a more true to life, smooth-shaded manner, so when I give it to the colorist, it won't be shaded already.

So you are looking for a more airbrushed or painterly look than cel-shading?

Yeah. I'm trying to make the whole thing a little more detailed than the other projects I'm working on. I've got the penciling done on page one, so people can get a better idea of how it will look.

How often would you need a page coloured? Once a week? Every two weeks?

The comic will have a fairly unorthadox update schedule of one page every three days. I'll be taking the third month of each quarter and using that time to complete a full 32-page chapter. I won't hold the colorist to the same schedule, but I would like them to average out about one page every two days so everything is completed well in advance.

Oh man, I would love to do this, but I really can't considering that one page every two days isn't possible under my current schedule. If the schedule was more like 2 pages a week or something…I guess I could color them on the weekends. Of course you'd need to tell me what colors you want the characters to be.

Hmmm…actually I think I could do this. As long as the colors you want aren't a crazy (ex. Mainstream Pro Comics) amount of details and I can do 2-3 pages a weekend.

I might be able to compromise a bit on the time. I just don't want the updates to fall behind like they have in the past. Two or three a week would give you a month's head start over the update schedule.

I'm not looking for Rembrandt or anything, but I do want some level of detail in the coloring. Like I said, I'm looking for smooth-shading, so I don't want just flat colors. Think along the lines of your average Disney DVD cover art.
