My tastes kick ass. The problems I have with the series are that, while Lucky star is a good manga, I hate the anime, plain and simple. My problem with Haruhi is that the female lead seems almost completely insufferable and the series seems to revolve around her 'wacky ideas'. I have no problem with high school oriented animes(I love Clannad,for instance), but those two just aren't really my style.

I like the anime Lucky Star because it's a bit slow paced and the plot is super simple… it's a refreshing break from all the fast action-y animes now like Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and the complicated story-centric ones like Shigofumi.
As for Haruhi… I actually like it because of all the stuff that goes on behind Haruhi's back. As much as she is the main character, it's cool that the viewers are in on a secret that she herself isn't.
Aaaaand, that's it! Just trying to help you see how people can like something seemingly overrated. :3
