ok, this got me worried!

According to this article, it sounds like there's some pretty strong wind across a lot of the UK. Be careful! :)
I cannot concieve of snowdrifts that high! Amazing! (I can't even concieve of sonwdrifts)
i was walking my dog today when i saw that the wind had uprooted a huge tree earlier that day! this got me worried because i live in Hemel Hempstead, a town that isn't known for winds that can knock down trees like that! That's nothing! I remember the news reports of the storms of '87 (I think that was the year???), in the UK. I remember hearing how the guy who played Rene in "'Ello 'ello" had his head smashed in by a piece of wood that had been blasted through his car window by the gale force winds!

Now that's a storm!
I saw him do a live performance of "'Ello 'ello" in the theatre some years later here in Perth with my sister, he was ok, but he had quite a dent in his forehead and one of his eyes was looking the wrong way…
As for storms here… Well it's summer right now but for some reason it's quite cold! We had some heavy showers of rain two nights ago. Very strange weather for this time of year. But they reckon that it'll be 39 or 40C on Saturday o_O (that's 104F in the old system).
Crazy Centigrade. It threw me off the whole time I lived in Ireland. Fortunately, the weather was pretty much the same every day, so it wasn't that big a deal.
It's just been unseasonably warm here in Virginia, and when I was in Texas over New Years it was unseasonably cold! Good thing global warming is just more liberal propaganda. (/end sarcasm)
While we do get warmer weather than usual these days, it also means worse storms for us coastal folk. We've had tornado watches a good three or four times in the last two months. The first time there was some serious damage done in states North of us. I can't say I look forward to this Summer with the hurricane season and all.

Let me help…
My driveway
My street
My backyard
The pictures don't really do the amount of snow justice- If I were standing in front of those piles in the 2nd picture, they'd be about a foot higher than I. But, seeing as it's -16 (or 3 degrees Farenheit for everyone else) I wasn't about to go and pose!
HAH! I laugh at your pitiful attempts at having bad weather. In the last few days, we've had snow storm, horrible winds and about -15°c. There's this one town called Isafjordur that was flooded because of the winds. And then there was some guy dying in a mud slide along with his dog. Just last week there was a 49 meters a minute stong wind. It uprooted the oldest tree in Reykjavik(Iceland's capital). Imagine that.
I also laugh at you yanks for not taking up the metric system.
Boston's been kinda strange too. Believe it or not I've seen flowering bushes with buds already starting to come out on them. And even the magnolia bushes appear to be a bit confused by the unseasonably warm weather we've been having. This is gonna change though because we're headed for some chilly weather this week. Finally.
It snowed in Australia. On Christmas.Where? On a mountain…? Heh, we've had some cool days, but not that cool anywhere within 3000km of me.
But the Eastern states are a bit strange… They've had big fires, floods, all sorts of stuff lol! I wouldn't be surprised if they had snow in some elevated areas ^_^

Yeah, on a mountain. But… it is SUMMER here.
We haven't really had any crazy weather here (Ohio) except for the fact that it pretty much hasn't snowed.. at all. Yesterday I think I saw a couple of flakes, but other than that, it's felt more like spring or fall than the dead of winter. And friends of mine were telling me it was snowing in Texas yesterday.
Weird stuff. lol!
20 degrees below zero today. I'm just thankful I'm not in northern Russia. Those guys are having like 40 below zero. Though on the other hand, I'd really like to be in Russia as it's an interesting country, though I doubt I'd like to live there.
I'm talking Celcius here, not the sucky Fahrenheit.
