…they bought them from United Nuclear!
Can you believe this? You could actually go onto this site and buy Ultra-High level radiation Uranium ore. No joke.
Am I the only one who thinks this is batshit insane?
(I mean, I'm joking about the North Korea thing, but the fact that you can buy this stuff so easily is scary.)

So THIS is how North Korea made their bombs...
It's not as serious as it looks though Ccs. You still need to do a lot of refining to get the good stuff, it's a complicated process. They can simply mine the ore themselves more cheaply they they could buy it from that site.
Yeah, I know. My original post was a lot of hyperbole (as seen from the title). Too bad I can't actually vocalize that on the web.
Side Note: Guy who runs this site is a "Paranormal Investigator" who wants people to believe that he worked at Area 51 on reconstructing an alien spacecraft and that he graduated from MIT, even though no one who went to MIT during those years remembers him.
No, it's real. United Nuclear was actually in the news recently because it sells Polonium 210, the thing that was used to kill Putin's opponent in the last Russian election.Hahahaha! Now that's a funny bit of urban mythology. :D
The man who died of Polonium poisoning was a journalist, nothing to do with Russian politics or Putin except for writing about them. You're probably thinking about the current president of the Ukraine who was apparently kidnapped and poisoned by persons unknown (people blame his political opponents in the Ukraine government). This poison left him with facial disfigurement (not death), and arguably helped win him quite a bit of a sympathy vote.
As to whether sinister elements in Putin's Russian government had a hand in the death of that journalist, personally I think that plays a little too well into old stereotypes, and what some would even call "racism" against Russians and the way they do things… You know; entrenched prejudices in the Western press left over from the cold war. The reality is that Polonium is used in many industrial processes and journalists in places like Russia are killed regularly by organised criminals, but in the West we love our conspiracies and spy stores I suppose.
-Only if they don't involve western governments though, if they do we ignore them… Case for war, kidnap of people all across Europe to be taken to torture camps and then GitMo, and so on… ho hum :(
