What I love:

- Good hours. Coming home and leaving work is NOT in the rush hour.

- Good shift. No supervisor behind my back tellin me do this do that. As long as I do the job required, I can sit down and surf the net most of the time.

I love the people I work with in my department. They're so much fun and just all around great people. :)

That and the joy of creating something I'm really proud of and knowing it's going to print for thousands of people to enjoy.

- Nobody cares if I pull a comic off the shelf and start reading it when there's hardly any one in the store.

- The interesting debates I can have with the people I work with

If any of you are wondering, yes I work in a comic shop and no I don't get freebies

I can go to work naked if I want!

Yeah… I work at home… -_- But it's a nice home :)

The best thing about it is getting paid for doing not much more than I'd do if I wasn't getting paid.

Hmmmm, another great topic!

I'm a tech support call center geek, so:

1. Great shift (10 hours a day, 4 days a week)
2. Cool co-workers and bosses
3. Problem-solving all day long (I love problem solving!)
4. I can draw my comics while I take calls!!!!! (BIG plus!)

I work at a movie theater and I like the people who complain. We have a giant sign outside saying no outside food or beverages and I confescate like 15 cups of starbucks a day (its a small theater so thats a lot). A women threw coffee at one of our managers the other day… thats the reason I do what I do :)

The Phenomenon of Dance? No no that's not it!
I have great hours too, I can't sleep so I wake up at like 4 AM and I can come into work anytime I want, and leave when I want too! (sweet) Oh and I get to draw comics at work too!

Hardly do anything
Sometimes get to take in the xbox 360.

Notice that this thread is about 1/3 the size of the HATE about your job thread? …meh!

They pay a lot of money, sometimes just to stand around and look at things. I complained about working seven days in a row in the other thread, but on the plus side they pay doubletime seventh day and beyond. I like not having to worry about whether or not I can afford food or rent or other things -

Also - unlike my last job couple of jobs, if you put a lot of effort into your work, the supervisors will actually notice.

I used to work at a game store, but the contract was only temporary. It ROCKED. There were a lot of things I liked, but most of all:

-The people. One was like an older brother, and another was like my second father! XD And the chats… God, those guys were so funny.
-The DISCOUNTS. >D 35% off preowned games, ohhh yeah!
-Got to meet a lot of new people. Part of the job description was actually talking to the customers and getting them to buy stuff. XD! I found it hysterical how 9/10 customers wanted a DS.
-I got insight into new games coming out, etc.
-Got to play games during my lunchbreak. <3

I hope to go back there someday as a part timer; unfortunately, they have no space at the moment. There's a lot of hullabaloo going on within the company right now… ;_;
*Continues filling out her Waterstone's application*
…book discounts are looking good though~ >>;;

I choose when I want to do my hours, the pay is decent and the people are often.

However, the actual work is something I hate, so my next favourite thing about my job is I'm leaving in a few weeks!

Oooo that sounds like an awesome job, Quiche! Mmmm free samples. I hope its good ice cream. :D Plus, you make people happy by selling them ice cream!

Ummm…I work in comics…what is there not to love. And it sure beats my last job of doing desktop support for an apparel company in East L.A.

And it's ALOT better than being a Reality TV producer…of course maybe it was the shows I was producing, but working in Reality TV blows!

Have you ever driven 80mph down an active runway in an SUV with an Airbus 310 coming down at you from 3-5 miles away moving at 160mph?

Its pretty exciting!

I like being able to listen to my music. And working with only one other person. We get to chat all we want and not get yelled at. Thats cool.
