There are just a couple people left in this round.  If you'd like to sign up for the next round, just let me know what comic project(s) you'd like to receive fan art for.

Also, I am considering implementing round "themes" for interest. Instead of drawing general fan art for each other, we draw fan art with a theme (like, bad guys,  holidays, weather, vacation, technology,etc.).  It's up to you guys if you're interested or we can just keep it open-ended as-is (it basically ends up mostly as character portraits this way).

Themes will make it more interesting, sounds good.

Well, it's winter (where I live, anyway…we're a worldwide community, here, which is awesome).
Anyway, some themes that pop to mind are…
'cold'
'christmas'
'christmas activities' (caroling, baking, gifts, gatherings, whatever…I guess it's a
                             subcategory of 'christmas'…)
'winter sports' (hmmm…I like this one!)
'we did the mash' (artists' characters with the recipient's characters)
'this is your comic. This is your comic on Sesame Street' (the recipients' character/s on Sesame Street).

Since it usually takes around two or three weeks for each person to finish a submission, it won't be winter for the whole round, but I have considered "holidays" as a theme (pick whatever holiday you like). Winter can be a fun theme, too, even if it runs into spring and summer. ;)

How 'bout a crossover with a specific character….like every pic has a fanart character (or several), alongside, say, Zoot from the Muppets.
So we all draw Zoot. That could be fun.

Haha. All good.

I think I'd prefer testing it out with one of the broader themes that would allow for a lot of interpretation and flexibility (and showcase people's different comics). At the moment, I am leaning toward "bad guys" for round two.

Or it could be expanded to "behaving badly" so it's bad guys and/or other characters doing bad things (in case we get anyone without real "bad guys" in their comics)

Is it too late to get in for the next round?  I find I'm liking the idea of drawing other people's characters and such.

You can still sign up. I'll let people sign up after it has started too – just not too close to the end of the round.

I haven't heard from Asbin yet. Sent a PQ, but it is still labelled "unread." (I do have a backup artist already, and we'll get going on the next round in a few weeks anyway.)

Anyone not on this list for round two who wants to join, please let me know either here, the Pay It Forward forum, by PQ, or however else you can communicate.

The official theme for the round is "Behaing Badly"

Luminous and JZA963 are both MIA.
So, to continue this project, we need someone to pick up the ball for JZA963.

I'd also like a new assistant for the comic if anyone is interested. I can work without one (and have for many months), but I think it's good to have an assistant.
Any volunteers for either of these tasks?
