This is something I've known for Some Time – but today we finally have proof.

Seriously, I was working on the computer in the basement and was wondering what kid was tugging on me when I realized:
(a) no kids around (besides, it's been YEARS since they've done that) and
(b) I'm on a cement slab and it's Moving.

Not scary per se, but freaky when it's your first time

I'm in the DC Metro area.

I was at my desk underneath my loft bed. The bed started swaying, and I was convinced that my slightly overweight cats were wrestling on my bed while, simultaneously, there had to have been a county truck running a snake through the pipes under our house.

And then seconds later there's the realization smacking me in the face with some disbelief mixed in. Crazy.

I'm in NJ.

This was the first time I was awake for a quake. I was just sitting at my computer playing TF2 before work when my chair started rocking. At first, I thought someone sneaked in and was screwing with me when I realized that was hardly the case. I thought it was pretty cool. Felt like a ride, really.

Kinda neat how everyone local was talking about it. Bit of a change from "It's warm today."

Haha. Yeah. It was odd. I thought someone was pulling something heavy down the hall.  I went to ask Mom about it, and she thought it was our washing machine (which does shake our floor all the time).  It didn't seem quite right, so I asked my dad if It had been shaking outside too. Heh.

I'm in Southern Virginia. Certainly seemed unusual, not scary. Our cats slept through it.  Strange enough to make me wonder if there's a dormant volcano hidden in the Blueridge. XD
