Snevilly gave me an idea. If the script were funny enough, we could do a mini-play about the radio play afterparty. The 2011 actors/resses would voice themselves, and once the alcohol starts flowing there'd be all kinds of hijynx. 'Could be fun.

I like the idea of a bird themed title! Hmmm….what about:

Maxwell McDuff in A Murder Most Fowl

Maxwell McDuff in The Deadly Duck

Maxwell McDuff in The Early Bird Gets The Gun

Maxwell McDuff in Birds of a Feather

Maxwell McDuff in Nice Cage, No Bird

:3  That sounds like tons of fun. Would we use our "character's" voices or our own? Man, someone is definitely going to spike the punch. The chaperones will have their hands full. I can just imagine the ensuing prank war.

– the comments about "great for a first try" –which I truly take as compliments (so thank you!) – also rather confirm my belief that my amateur-level editing capabilities could be replaced by some DDers who have more experience with sound editing.

I think it was great all around! You did a marvelous job. When I made the comment that it was "great for a first time" I didn't mean "it was awesome, but also obvious that you were an ameteur". What I was really trying to say was "this is so well done that I can't really believe it was your first time doing this"!

I would think we'd be ourselves, unless for joke purposes we switch. Like, maybe someones purse can go missing, and I could say something like, "looks a job for -changes voice- Maxwell McDuff, private eye." It could be pretty funny, we just need a script and some time to record/edit. I might have drafted a script if I didn't have a debate competition coming up in three days, and then a mock trial two weeks after that!

Also, I like "The Early Bird Gets The Gun." Sounds like a nice mix of goofy and serious.

I'm currently writing a rather long radioplay called "It was a Wednesday"…

It's about love, "Glue", supervillains, the beneficial effects of mustard and the end of the world.

Oh, and "Glue" is not a typo, It's not meant to be "Glee". I love that show but mixing supervillains with dancing and teenage angst is a little too much Spiderman 3 for me.

The mustard alone is intriguing.  10 or more characters?

So far it has six characters. By the end of it this will be increased to at least twenty. It will take most of the year to finish the recordings and stuff. the end result will be about eight 15 minute episodes.

Sounds ambitious. Sounds sexy.

Let's do it.

Kroatz definitely has something going down, but it's still 2011 - and plenty of time for other awesome ideas to surface.

Who knows?   Maybe there will be a Max sequel, a serial radioplay and a Quackcast soap – it's all good.
Stating the obvious:  everybody's welcome to brainstorm / opine.  Awesome is the goal  :)

While The Czarina is having her diadem polished up, she invites all of those who would like to be on the 2012 Drunk Duck Radio Play Panel of Scripts Judges to contact her either by PQ or at drunkduck100@yahoo.com.

Yes, this is an innovation from last year.  Does it mean that a judge cannot submit a script?  No, it doesn't.

The Czarina will distribute scripts to the judges having first removed the author's name.
Kinda cool, ey?  (it is allowed to humor The Czarina and say, "oh, yes")

Don't be shy.  Let me hear from you!

Why don't we just post that we want to be a judge right here?
You know, like this:

I WANT TO BE A JUDGE.

You've already got my e mail stuff.

Why?
WHY you ask?  *whimper*

Because I live in Fear of an ORGANIZERD panel of judges.  One that, through homemaking blogs and secret code terms, with email networks that pass throuh Bora Bora and the Bermuda Triangle will work in a Dark
and sinister Collusion.

And because I'm The Czarina and I wants what I want.  So, K, I'm a guessin you'd like to be a judge?

I would indeed like to be a judge. Whether I'll be a judge like Judy or a judge like Dredd still remains to be seen.

i wonder how hard it is to get accepted as a voice actor for a radio play. I've been accepted in another project that was meant to be a small animation with me as a principal voice actor, but that's been put on an indefinite hiatus. But that must mean I'm good for SOMETHIN', right?
lol

Shouldn't be hard at all. It's all in good fun here :) Unless there's a bunch of people trying for a specific part, and then we have users vote.

Got a clip of you reading something that we can listen to?
