Alex:hmmm…*he looked at Brentons tired eyes*well he may as well stay the night.he's too tired to use Instant Transmission let alone fly Nimbus. i'll call Sakura and see if it'll be ok.
Shallot:*Shallot smiled at Brenton*what do you think?
Brenton:i-i don't mind.
Shallot:good to hear.
Brenton:i'm not sick you know! i'm fine-*RUMBLE! his stomach growled like a lion*but uh i am running low on gas…
Alex:i'll see if we have some ice cream.*he then walked out of the room*
Brenton:(this is…nice.i mean unlike Alex i was never born while raised with parents so them treating me like this feels…good. buh! what am i expecting? after ice cream Shallot will read me a story before bed? sheesh..)
Alex:what flavor should I get him…better get him a little of each,just to be safe.*proceeds to get him one of each scoop and make it into a sundae*
Shallot:*looks at his expression* (hmm he seems a tad conflicted I hope we aren't embarrassing him with all this attention) You know brenton, your not the first I had to take care of. Sakura had that privilege. If you want, I have some stories I can share about our times in space. That is, if you aren't too tired to listen with your ice cream.
Brenton:i…*he still looked a bit conflicted but then smiled* id like that.*Alex walked in with the bowl of ice cream*
Alex:here you go little bro.just remember to-*Brenton swiped the bowl as he eat the cold delicious treat at a fast pace*
Brenton:*MUNCH! MUNCH! MUNCH!*
Alex:take your time eating it…nevermind.if you need anything else i'll be watching TV in my room waiting for that massage.*he winked at Shallot before walking away*
Brenton:eww.
Shallot:are you all done?*the half breed triumphantly showed the empty bowl*good.*he then went under his covers eager to hear a story of Shallots adventures*
Shallot:alright, this is an old one. It was back when I was a space pirate and Sakura was…Saki.
Alex:wait, Saki?
Shallot:it was her nickname I gave her when she was about 5 or 6. Anyway…*proceeds to tell the story keeping much action drama and comedy in the mix*…So she came running down the stairs that were on the ship, tripped and tumbled through the air into me. after we talked we decided that was going to be her signature move, The Saki Shot. Of course, she modified the cannonball to go into a hug, but whoever she hit with it was overcome with such sweetness from being hugged by her. I saw her to it to this one space biker, no joke as soon as she hugged him he started frothing rainbows.
Alex:sounds to me like you really loved your sister.
Shallot:I still do even if she's all grown up. Im glad she devloped into who she is now… though there is a part of me that wishes she was still that small wide eyed girl that would greet me at the door with a big hug. *smiles and looks to brenton* If she would have met you at that age she would have thought of you as her space prince…though in a way I guess you kind of have been ever since she landed here.
*the half breed looked back all those years ago*
Brenton:that was a hell of a day back then.although i kinda wish that i saved her from being killed by Cesar… and Relish…*his eyes began to close*but it all worked out in the end…after all i got to meet…you.*he then fell asleep*
Shallot:good night.*she then kissed his forehead as he smiled.later that night Shallot heard noises making her wake up as she spotted Brenton under the blankets next to her as she whispers-*hey come on go back to your bed.
Brenton:can't sleep…alone. i get nightmares.*he then hugged her closely*
Shallot:*smiles*alright,you can stay. Alex move over, your brother had a bad dream.
Alex:mm*yawns and scooches over slightly drowsy*used to have those…he won't magic us in his sleep, will he?
Shallot:if he does we'll address it in the morning. right now, he needs us.*helps make a spot for him* gives him a big hug. Better?
Brenton:mmm…yes. love you…Shallot.*he then fell asleep making Shallot smile as she held him close.* *the next morning she woke up and looked at Brenton*
Shallot:(hmm i don't see any traces of magic yet but you'll never know.)
Brenton:*the boy yawned as he sat up and rubbed his eye*good morning mo-erk!*he then went wide-eyed as Shallot smiled at him*i meant to say Shallot!*he then ran into the kitchen to make cereal*
Shallot:*smiles*(he almost called me his mom)*yawns and turns*(best make Alex some breakfast after all he likes to sleep in late)*walks over and grabs a robe*(hm. feels a tad big eh, probably Alex's. he won't mind.) *she then heads into the kitchen and begins cooking* So, did you sleep well last night?
Brenton:*the half breed was still blushing from his almost slipup*(i can't believe i almost called her Mom!…Shallot is way less scaryer then Chi Chi.)uh y-yeah.*Shallot placed a cup in front of him*
Shallot:lemonade?
Brenton:oh! yes please.*she then poured some as the boy happily drank it.Shallot then brought out some ingredients*
Shallot:(i'm sure he would love pancakes.maybe some eggs and bacon too.)*she then began to make said meal*
Brenton:r-right!*he then ate the food on his plate as Alex tiredly sat at the table*
Alex:*yawns*good morning.*he then started to eat his breakfast until-so…

Alex:had a nice chat with "Mom" junior?*hearing this made Brenton blush as he glared at the smirking older brother.he then stand up with his arms behind his head*
Brenton:watch it i can easily put you in the same situation as me.*as Shallot finished her meal she got up and walked to Brenton as she picked him up*
Shallot:be nice boys.
Brenton:fine…
Shallot:(hm, that's odd he feels heavier…either that or I've gotten weaker)
Alex:you alright hon? you don't look too good.
Shallot:im fine. I probably just need to freshen up is all.*kisses him* I'll be right back. No fighting while im away or I'll show you how scary I can be. Am I clear?
Alex:Understood, dear.
Alex:yeha. I know, though I've never seen her like this before. Normally when she's sick she just drinks something or pops a pill and goes straight to business. If she hasn't done that after getting out of the shower then we might have to take care of her all day.

Shallot:(get a hold of yourself. your better than this. Now what could it be? Its not a kid in me, thats for sure. Im sure it will reveal itself in time and I'll have something made for it after. for now relax and get ready to have fun)*exhales and begins to sing*
Brenton:i don't like this.i'm gonna wait for her alright…*he then walked up to the bathroom and leaned next to the door as he heard her sing*(she has a nice voice…that being said it doesn't sound different so she hasn't turned into a kid…or at the very least not yet.either way i'll wait and ask her after all if something magical did happen to her i'm pretty sure i can fix it…best case scenario might even be that i accidentally gave her my magical energy.)*the bathroom door opened*Shallot? Are you feeling alright?
Shallot:*finishes up and wraps herself up and no sooner taking a few steps out nearly falls, but catches herself on the sink before the door opens and brenton's voice rings*Im fine.(mostly. can't let him worry though. he always worries.)*walks up to brenton noting his curious face with concern*(he came to make sure im alright. what a good boy. hm.)*moves down* Brenton, you didn't have to come and check up on me.
Brenton:*the boy blushed as he twiddled with his index fingers while looking down*i-i know its just that you didn't seem ok and i couldn't help but worry that you might fall in the shower or something.
Shallot:(aww he's so sweet.)it's alright you don't need to worry about me.now just wait here while i get dressed ok?
Brenton:o-ok.*after getting dressed in her room she then walked out and held Brentons hand as they walked into the living room*
Alex:(hmm she seems alright for now.i better not push it though.even when sick Shallot can be a little grumpy.)
Alex:how are you holding up hon?
Shallot:just fine*puts brenton on her lap.*(hm he looks bigger. feels bigger too.well that or im shrinking. ha, as if.)*smiles*So, brenton what do you want to do today? I could take you to another fair with Alex, we could go and see a movie whatever you want.
Alex:I don't know don't you think you should take it easy?
Shallot:hon you don't have to worry, Im ok. Still if your worried we'll do something here. I'll call off sick and stay home. Maybe we can go out back to the pool in the back.
Brenton:a pool? are we talking the table kind or the splashing kind?
Shallot:the splashing kind sweetie.*she then ruffled his hair making him giggle*
Alex:i could go for a dip.wait right there little bro i think i got something in your size.*the adults then walked to the bedroom to get ready*
Brenton:….(it's hard to tell right now but i think Shallot is slowly becoming younger…or her body is just shrinking.)*a few minutes later they walked out as Alex wore blue swimming trunks while Shallot was wearing a two piece pink bikini.this made him blush and stare*(whoa…Shal looks-)
Alex:hey Benjamin button heres your swimming trunks.*the half breed happily put them on as he ran to the backyard and cannon ball into the water*
Alex:well alright.
Brenton:hahahaha!*as Shallot began to sunbathe Alex and Benton swam in the water racing a few laps while the boy laughed innocently*
Alex:hey squirt!
Brenton:huh-*SPLASH! he splashed the childs face making Brenton smirked evily*oh you've done it now.*they then had a splash battle for five minutes*
Shallot:(ok i think that's enough of that for now.)*she then smiled as she dipped aand swam in the water.Brenton didn't notice this as he lightly bump into her allowing Shallot to hug him*gotcha!
Brenton:heh hey! that's not fair i'm out numbered.
Shallot:Aww your not outnumbered just outplayed is all*pecks him on the cheek and tosses him up in the air and watches him splash down and laughing*
Alex:*laughs too then notices something seems off about his wife.* hon are you feeling ok?
Shallot:honestly, splashes him I feel great! I(hm…) one sec*flies up for a moment out of sight to fix her outfit and dives back down* look out below!*splashes and is underwater looking for brenton*(where did he go?)
