I think cool guy was thinking about sending a responsible message to the DD forum.
So they combined the phrase "cool guy" with a condom, showing that safe sex is a "cool" thing to do.
Exactly why someone would use their avatar for such a random public service announcement is harder to say.

I think Wordweavers avatar represents deep seated feelings of not belonging, the ragged man with the stitched unhappy mouth and mismatched eyes- This scarecrow speaks of a sense of being depended on by others but feeling disconected from them at the same time.
(I should be a psychologist, making up that crap is easy.)
