Anyway, the king of soul is dead, on Christmas day. I don't think we can say "long live the king" though, because who could replace him? What singers have as much soul these days?

Singers don't have soul these days, especially the ones who say they are "soul singers." Sure, some of them may have some soul, but none come close to James Brown's. RIP Mr. Brown.
